About

Liesl Lar grew up on theater stages, television sets, and in front of cameras — experience that contributes to her approach as a creative, producer and marketer of stories. Her entertainment career launched at Disney, where she was a Latin America television star and shot over 300 combined episodes for La Casa de Disney Junior and Disney Playground, both now in syndication. As a stage actor, she appeared in the Mexico City production of Wicked (Glinda understudy), starred in the Mexico City, New York City and Korea productions of Anjou, and has held lead roles in various other shows.

In 2017 Liesl became head of operations for a Tony Award winning production company responsible for co-financing Broadway hits such as Hello Dolly starring Bette Midler, 1984 starring Olivia Wilde, and the global juggernaut Kinky Boots.  In her ongoing relationship with Disney, for Walt Disney World Resorts she has directed the live show to promote Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Pandora – The World of Avatar (2018), written & directed the live show to announce the opening of Toy Story Land (2019), and serves as director of the live show to promote the 50th anniversary of the resorts (2022).

Behind the camera Liesl has served as production manager or coordinator on commercials for Netflix’s Maniac and Umbrella Academy, Holiday Surprise for Target, MTV music video Bodega Surprise, Pixar in Real Life for Disney+, and others. She also served as a Senior Producer at Hearst Magazines for six years, overseeing video content development and production for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen’s digital platforms.

As the founder and a creative leader of TTG, she is committed to developing and producing bold, imaginative, and culturally resonant projects across the entertainment industry. Liesl’s work is driven by a deep commitment to amplifying Latin voices and diverse perspectives, and by her vision of fostering stronger connections between the U.S. theater industry and Latin America—modeled on the long-standing creative exchange between the U.S. and the U.K.
